Got the large capacity battery for the UX
Category UX280 UX280P
In preparation for Lotusphere 2007 (16 days), I ordered and received the large capacity battery for UX today, a purchased touted to provide 'up to 5 - 9.52 hours of battery life with the extended UX battery', yeah, right!
If I get three hours out of it I will be impressed, and happy. By the way, if you are not pressed for time, there are other vendors who will sell the battery at deeply discounted prices (just don't believe their claims of it being 'in stock')
On a side note, now that I have it installed, the added bulk of the new battery actually makes the UX fit better in my larger than average hands making mousing and keying much easier.

Comments
I just bought my Vaio VGN-UX 280P and I have been trying to generate the Recovery Discs using an external USB 2.0 CD/DVD Reader/Writer, but the UX does not recognize the CD/DVD drive as valid for this operation.
It does show up as an e: drive in the Windows File Explorer.
Does anyone know how I can make this work without having to buy the $400 USD drive from Sony?
Thanks.
