The Mighty Millers Lacrosse Team Wins Again
Category Lacrosse
Continuing their winning record, the 5/6th grade N'Ville Millers lacrosse team won a 6-3 victory over one of Carmel's teams last night. E played in the left attack position for an average of 5-6 minutes a quarter (the quarters last 12 minutes.)
The Carmel team had a few extremely good and fast players but N'Ville played as a team and had outstanding passing and a very strong defensive effort.
The Carmel coach sent an email to our coach to be shared:
I want to thank you again for hosting us tonight. I also want you to pass along a few things to your team and parents. It was a great experience. We wish you the best of luck the rest of the season and look forward to playing you again someday
To the parents.
As a ref for the first time I wanted to thank you all for your great sportsmanship on the sideline. I did not hear one discouraging word to either team or the refs. I only heard positive comments. I also wanted to let you know that you boys were very good sports on the field and off. After the game two of the boys came up and personally thanked me for coming to play and refereeing the game. That was true class.
To your team
As a coach for both the CDC house team and travel team I wanted to say that they played the best game I have witnessed at this age in quite a while. They played their positions (especially without the ball) very well. They executed great cuts, great passing and great communication. It kept my boys very confused and taught them some very good lessons. After the game I asked my team what the other team did right. I got........"the passed the ball a lot", "they stayed spread out" and "they knocked down a lot of shots with their defenders".
